~ While beautifully sunny today in Anchorage there's a haze over the city from big fires in Russia and sand storms in Mongolia. Yes, you read that right. lol I would never have thought that was possible, you learn something new every day.
~ At the gym last night I walked 1.60 miles. Not as far as I would have liked but I was exhausted yesterday, so I'm happy I went that far.
~ I've decided I need to invest in some new clothes and a new pair of walking shoes, and I'm going to get rid of some clothes I never wear. That will be my project for next weekend.
~ Stress is evil.
~ The last scrapbook club meeting is this weekend. Since I'm the hostess I need to figure out a snack to bring. I'm thinking of making 7-Layer Mexican Bean Dip, that usually goes over well. I wonder if we'll do this again in the fall. There have only been 4 of us who've gone regularly, plus the woman who's been showing us how to do everything. I wouldn't mind doing it again, I enjoy it for the most part.
~ Retail therapy has been very tempting this week but so far I've resisted the urge.
~ My stepdad and I are planning to take my Mom to the movies tonight if she's feeling up to it. She wants to see '88 Minutes' with Al Pacino. I need to see what time it starts.
~ Work's been a little busier, which is nice except I'm having one of those days where words just don't look like they're spelled right, even though I know they are! I don't know why that happens sometimes.
Okay, that's all for now. *waves* Tags: alaska, crafty stuff, gym, life, movies, work I'm feeling: tired

~ It's turned out to be a pretty afternoon in Anchorage, sunny skies and melting snow are making everyone happy.
~ I practiced listening today.
~ My dreams have been so vivid lately. One that amuses me was a few nights ago, someone gave me a lamp shaped like a bowling ball. LOL Now I'm wondering if they exist!
~ I love the website www.80stees.com They have T-shirts from old 80's movies and cartoons and I secretly want the one from 'Sixteen Candles' that says I Love Jake Ryan and has a picture of him on it. Don't tell anyone.
~ A book has me intrigued so I'm going to see if I can find it this weekend, 'The Last Lecture' by Randy Pausch...I'm not sure I spelled his last name right, but I really want to read it.
~ A coworker has one of those cheap magnetic dartboards on his office door. I was downstairs earlier and managed to hit the bullseye, something nobody else has done. Yeah baby!
~ Tacos sound really good for dinner. I'm so hungry. And an ice cold Dr. Pepper sounds so good too...
~ Has anyone ever ordered prints of pictures from a website like Shutterfly? I was wondering what kind of luck you've had with it, or a similar site. I need to get prints done but I don't trust Walmart anymore and I really don't want to spend an hour in front of one of those little booths if I can help it. Any suggestions or ideas would be great.
~ Someone asked me today what the best thank you present I've ever received was. I've had lots of nice thank you's, a fun one that comes to mind is when cougarkittynbought me Twister bedding. LOL I still have it, by the way! So now I ask you, what's the best thank you present you've ever been given? Well that's enough rambling, it's almost time to go home. I hope you all have a great weekend. :-) Tags: random ramblings I'm feeling: curious

A box arrived from fairwellsyesterday for Mom, it had a pretty card and the softest little duck! Mom loves it, she kept it in her hands all night. :-) And I can't believe you sent Mom that lotion, that's her favorite scent! Mom asked me if I told you what kind she likes and was amazed that you picked just the right one. Emma, you made Mom smile, thank you. Mom says thanks so much for thinking of her. Mom also got presents from cc_volunteerwho sent an Inca charm for health and some lovely postcards of where she lives. Mom loved it, she was fascinated and really enjoyed everything. She also sent a beautiful necklace for me I love and a card that made me giggle, just what I needed. :-) I already left you a comment, I just wanted to say again how much I appreciate everything you sent. It means a lot to me that you've all taken the time to send things to us, I can't begin to tell you what a different it has made to my family. I hope someday I can help all of you the way you've helped me. *HUGS* Tags: friends, mom I'm feeling: thankful
